Dave Meets Spacewar! Creator Steve Russell

On May 15th, 2006, at an event at the Computer History Museum, I got to meet and talk at length with Steve Russell, the creator of the 1962 video game Spacewar! I had first read about Steve Russell in Steven Levy's book Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution. I had no idea he was in the San Francisco Bay Area, and never dreamed I'd meet him. It was a trip! He's the nicest guy, and turns out to be very active at the museum. He invited me to bring my students down to meet him and play Spacewar! on the restored PDP-1 at the museum.
